Rolling Stone, the renowned music publication, has unveiled its highly anticipated ‘Music Future 25’ list, and Nigerian superstar Asake has secured a spot among the talented rising artistes.

Curated for this year’s Future of Music issue, the list features 25 artistes who are reshaping the music landscape in 2023 and beyond, with the guidance of acclaimed artiste Bad Bunny.
Asake’s inclusion on the list is a testament to his exceptional talent and groundbreaking work.
Joining him are a diverse array of artists such as GloRilla, Flo, Young Miko, Brittney Spencer, Omar Courtz, Babyface Ray, and others, all recognised for their innovation and boundary-pushing approach to music.
The journey to Asake’s rise in the industry began in January 2022 when he collaborated with popular rapper Olamide on the chart-topping single ‘Omo Ope’.
The accompanying music video captivated audiences upon its release on February 16, 2022, further propelling Asake’s growing prominence.
In a significant career milestone, Asake officially signed with YBNL, the record label owned by Olamide, in February 2022.
The partnership has proven fruitful, leading to the release of two critically acclaimed albums under YBNL in collaboration with Empire.
The albums, titled ‘Mr Money with the Vibes’ and ‘Work of Art’, have showcased Asake’s versatility and artistic prowess, garnering widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike.
