Notorious Criminal, ‘MC’ Shot Dead By Security Operatives In Oyo State

In a significant victory for law enforcement agents in Oyo State, Musiliudeen Gbolagade, popularly known as MC, a notorious criminal, was shot dead on Monday in Iseyin, Oyo State.

The joint operation was carried out by the Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun, and Operation Burst. MC was a well-known figure suspected of being involved in numerous robberies, gun battles, and other criminal activities in the Isalu community.

MC had earned a reputation for his involvement in kidnapping and was feared by local residents. They accused him of forcibly collecting rent from shop owners, landlords, and business owners, instilling a climate of fear and intimidation in the area. His criminal reign of terror had long plagued the community, leading to an intensified effort to bring him to justice.

The raid on MC’s hideout was met with resistance, as he allegedly opened fire on the security personnel. During the exchange of gunfire, MC managed to injure one of the officers before succumbing to the return fire. His lifeless body has been taken to the Oketapemo Police station and will be subsequently transferred to Ibadan.

In addition to eliminating MC, nine of his suspected accomplices were apprehended at the scene, signaling a significant blow to the criminal network operating in the region. The successful operation serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts between Amotekun, the Police, and Operation Burst in their commitment to restoring law and order.

Confirming the incident, Col. Olayinka Olayanju, the state Commandant of Amotekun, acknowledged the joint operation’s success. He stated, “Yes, it was true. We have neutralized him. It was a combined team of Amotekun and the Police, Operation Burst. He had committed so many atrocities, crimes in the area. Even this Monday morning, he engaged security personnel in a gun duel, and they gunned him down.”
