The murder charges against Carlishia Hood, the mother seen in a video urging her 14-year-old son to shoot and kill a man at a fast food restaurant in Chicago, USA have been dropped after further footage came to light showing the man punching her.

Ms Hood & her son had been charged with first-degree murder following the killing of Jeremy Brown, 32 on June 18 at the Maxwell Street Express, a fast-food restaurant south of downtown Chicago.

She had a valid Firearm Owners Identification card & she had a license to carry a concealed weapon when the incident took place.

On June 26 all the charges against both mother & son were dropped & they were released.

The office of Cook County State’s Attorney said that the decision to drop the charges was “based upon our continued review & in light of emerging evidence. Based upon the facts, evidence and the law, we are unable to meet our burden of proof in the prosecution of these cases.
