Ekiti State governor, Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has received praises from Nigerians on social media for his humble gesture by prostrating to greet renowned lawyer, Chief Afe Babalola at a public event recently.

The governor’s action is a traditional way of showing respect to elders in Yorubaland.

Well-cultured Oyebanji arrived at the event in Ekiti and encountered Chief Babalola, who is over 80 years old. Without hesitation, the governor laid flatly on the ground to greet the legal icon, demonstrating his respect and adherence to Yoruba culture and traditions.

People at the event couldn’t stop pouring encomiums on the governor for his respectful act.
