Almost all women in Nollywood have left their husbands - Pete Edochie laments

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has bemoaned the divorce spree rocking the Nigerian movie industry.

He asserted that almost all the actresses in the country are divorced.

The legendary thespian asserted in a chat with popular media personality Chude Jideonwo.

Edochie said:

"If you come to our industry today, most of our ladies who got married, some two, three years ago, have all left their husbands. I was shocked that Chioma Chukwuka had left her husband, Ireti Doyle, Tonto Dikeh.

"You take a vow when you are going to get married for better or worse, not for better or out. You will always think it's greener on the other side; that is the mistake we all make."

Mr Ibu’s leg amputated after undergoing several surgeries

According to a post on the actor’s Nollywood page on Monday, Mr Ibu endured seven successful surgeries, but one of his legs had to be amputated to keep him alive and aid his recuperation process. Mr Ibu reads: “We want to appreciate everyone that has come through for our dad; saying we are grateful is an understatement, and only the good Lord can thank you all enough for every help you’ve rendered. “As of 1 p.m. and noon today, Daddy has gone through seven successful surgeries, but to keep him alive and increase his chances of recovery, one of his legs had to be amputated.
